Funko Pops can be relatively cheap and admittedly addicting to collect. (Just ask the nine Steven Universe Pops on my desk). But what if there was a cuter option out there? What if there were display toys that were expressive, poseable, interchangeable, and just plain more adorable than circle eyes on square heads? Luckily, there is.
Nendoroids are tiny articulated figures from Good Smile Company that chibi-fy some of your favorite characters. These expressive characters often have the option to change their faces and sometimes, even their hair.
There are tons of Nendoroids out there for you to choose from and always more on the way, but here are some that we think you’ll enjoy.
Straight from the hit Nintendo Switch game, Link stands poised and ready for action, even if he is tiny. This Nendoroid comes with several miniature weapons and tools from the game as well as a decorative hood. You can even mount the little guy on a chibi steed so he can ride into action.
Even as a Nendoroid, Tony Stark makes his suit look damn good. Inspired by the armor from 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, this figure comes with a special display stand that resembles the setting of the final battle of the movie. If you wanted to get a sense of what Robert Downey Jr. looks like as a chibi, you can set up the figure with an exposed face or no helmet at all.
The classic blue bomber will look fantastic on your workspace. This Nendoroid comes with tons of game accessories, like a tiny E-can and even a few blasts that he can pretend to shoot from his Mega Buster. He’s ready to take on eight evil bosses, but maybe not the one that’s getting mad at you for playing with this at your desk.
From the widely-popular FPS, Overwatch cover girl Tracer graces the Nendoroid scene. She comes equipped with her Pulse Pistols and fancy Blink effects to make it look like she’s zipping through time. She stays proudly on display, if not on the payload.
If you loved the Wonder Woman movie as much as we did, then this Nendoroid figure is what you need. Diana can be decked out with her trusty sword and shield, her lasso of truth, or burning armlets as if she had just blocked bullets shot by the patriarchy. This Nendoroid is available for pre-order and comes out in May 2018, but we don’t need a lasso to figure out how much you’d like this.
